When the school opened in 2008, we started with a brand new chapter and have been active ever since. If you are interested in joining, please download the application below. The application provides information on the benefits of joining FCCLA. Once you have it filled out, bring it to Mrs. Johnson's, Ms. Wigg's, or Mrs. Maelzer's classroom along with the $15 dues. Dues can be paid at any point during the school year. Also, download the guidelines below for information regarding graduation stoles/cords, eligibility, and dress code.

Signs about FCCLA are hung up around the school.
Meeting announcements are made during morning announcements, which the school hears during 2nd hour each day.
FCCLA is promoted on the Southmoore Facebook page, which can be seen here.
FCCLA has a booth set up during the club fair in August.
FCCLA also has a booth set up during 9th grade orientation prior to school starting in August.
Our officers are tasked with recruiting members.

Retention

When school starts each year, we send a Parentsquare text to the previous year's members, inviting them to join again. We also send them information on when the first meeting will be.
We try to make each monthly meeting fun by doing some sort of fun activity so that members will continue to come.
Some students are unable to come to after school meetings, so we have a morning make up meeting the following day after our regular meeting.
Officers are constantly brainstorming ways to keep members engaged.
At the beginning of each meeting, we have some sort of ice breaker so that members can get to know each other and hopefully become friends.

Recognition

Anytime, students compete in Star Events, their accomplishments are posted on Moore Public School's Facebook page as well as Southmoore's Facebook page.
At the end of each year, we determine the top point earning members and give them a gift.
Seniors, who have met the requirements, get to wear an FCCLA graduation cord(members) or a stole(officers) at graduation.
On our display board, we post member birthdays for each month.
On our display board, we have a list of new members and a list of returning members.
The SHS FCCLA chapter is recognized at the OK State Convention for earning the Chapter of Excellence Award.
