Our FCCLA Awards

Southmoore members have been competing in Star Events since 2012 and have been quite successful, with several making it to the national level.

 

Our current competitors are listed below. Their results will be updated as they compete at each level. Districts was Nov. 18, Regionals was Feb. 10, State is Mar. 25-16, and Nationals is in July.

Oklahoma FCCLA Chapter of Excellence Awards

Purpose: 

The purpose of the Chapter of Excellence (formally Star Chapter Award) is to recognize FCCLA chapters that have excelled in the five components of FCCLA: membership, adviser, leadership, meetings, and projects. These are chapters that have well rounded programs and are active on the local, district, state, and national level. 

 

Awards and Recognition:

FCCLA Chapters receiving 20 – 29.9 points from the criteria will receive a Bronze Chapter of Excellence from Oklahoma FCCLA. Chapters receiving 30 – 39.9 points will receive a Silver Chapter of Excellence award from Oklahoma FCCLA. Chapters receiving 40 points or more will receive the Gold Chapter of Excellence Award from Oklahoma FCCLA. All Chapters of Excellence award winners will be recognized on stage during the annual Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention.

Other Southmoore FCCLA Awards
2025-2026

Southmoore will earn the National FCCLA Go for the Red Chapter Award-Gold Level for increasing our chapter membership by 20+ members. Last year we had 44 members and this year we ended up with 70!

2021-2022

Southmoore earned the Oklahoma 10 to Win Membership Campaign Recognition for increasing our membership by 10 members. We accepted this award at the State Convention in April.

Southmoore also earned the National FCCLA Go for the Red Chapter Award-Bronze Level for increasing out chapter membership by 10 members.

2016-2017

OK FCCLA Connection Magazine Contest

The magazine held a contest asking chapters to submit a photo for the cover of the January issue. The photo had to be a still shot of members doing the mannequin challenge. Southmoore participated and won! 

2013-2014

 

Mrs. Johnson was awarded the FCCLA Master Adviser Award. She was recognized at the Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention in April 2014 and at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in July 2014.
